Professional Services Engineer

LogRhythm is seeking a Professional Services Engineer to join our team at our corporate office in Boulder, Colorado.  The LogRhythm Professional Services Engineer provides two primary functions; performing remote and on-site installation and configuration of LogRhythm technology, and developing device support.  Device support consists of researching, understanding, and developing rules-based support of logging systems for the purpose of processing and reporting on log data.

Qualified candidates will have proven experience implementing distributed software-based products.  They will also need to have experience in a variety of technologies including networking devices, security devices, operating systems, and databases.  If you are a technology enthusiast with proven implementation capabilities, we encourage you to apply.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of related field experience
• Software installation, integration, and configuration
• Some software development and/or scripting experience
• Experience with logging systems (i.e., Syslog, Windows Event Log)
• Extensive experience installing and working with Windows Server operating system
• Experience working with Windows SQL Server 2000/2005
• An understanding and comfort with Windows Domain security and audit policies
• Comfortable installing and configuring *NIX based applications
• Experience working with and configuring routers, switches, and firewall devices
• A solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols and routing

Valued Skills

• Degree in Computer Information Systems or Network Security
• Security Information/Event Management solution experience
• Intrusion detection/prevention solution experience
• Vulnerability assessment/penetration testing experience
• IT audit experience
• Regular expressions
• Start-up experience
