January 11, 2012 - LogRhythm, the leader in log management and SIEM 2.0, has appointed Stuart Quinsey as its new channel director EMEA, to help the company’s partners capitalise on growing market demand for its solutions. Quinsey brings more than 20 years of sales and management experience to the role, which will see him head up all EMEA channel activity for the company. In the coming months Stuart and LogRhythm will introduce a series of programmes to help partners address key cyber security and
compliance issues facing organisations today.
Quinsey joins LogRhythm from ChangeBase where he held the position of sales director. Prior to that, he was VP sales for the EMEA region for Virtual Computer Inc. He has also held senior channel positions at Netscreen Technologies and Juniper Networks.
LogRhythm’s continuing expansion will see a doubling of its team in EMEA and a wider footprint with new partners joining the LogRhythm Connect programme. This move is driven by the rising demand for next generation
Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technology in the region, as more organisations turn to these solutions to help counter the growing threat of cyber crime, as well as protect themselves from data breach incidents. Analyst firm Frost & Sullivan predicts a substantial growth in demand for SIEM solutions in the UK and mainland Europe, with the market expected to reach $359 million by 2014.
“Stuart brings a wealth of experience having held senior channel positions at notable IT and security brands, so we are delighted to welcome him to LogRhythm,” said Ross Brewer, vice president and managing director international markets at LogRhythm. “His experience in designing and implementing impressive channel programmes will help drive the direction and maturity of our EMEA operations, building on our success to date. Recent high profile acquisitions of other SIEM vendors have demonstrated the value that these solutions play in the fight against cyber crime, and LogRhythm's clear channel focus is in contrast to many of our competitors that have been acquired by direct vendors. Stuart’s appointment will help our channel partners capitalise on this market potential."
“LogRhythm is the largest independent SIEM provider in the market delivering a next generation cyber-defense, detection and response platform, and is in a great position to reach out to channel partners and develop profitable relationships,” said Quinsey. “This is both an exciting time for me personally and also for LogRhythm. The market is maturing rapidly, and cyber threats and networks are becoming ever-more sophisticated. As a result it has never been more important for organisations to deploy technology that can tell them exactly what is happening across the IT estate. This is something Managed Security Service Providers will be looking to capitalise on and we anticipate growing channel opportunities in this area over the year to come. I’m looking forward to working with our partners to help their customers achieve this goal, and also in playing a key part in helping LogRhythm to continue its expansion in the European market.”
