LogRhythm and Lan 1 Sign New AsiaPac Distribution Deal

AsiaPac Expansion Driven by Ever Increasing IT Security Incidents

November 29, 2011 – LogRhythm, a leader in log management and SIEM, today announced that it is partnering with Lan 1, a value-added distributor of a range of IP Storage, IP Networking, IP Security and IP CCTV products and solutions, to help drive its continued expansion in the AsiaPac region.

The deal will enable both companies to capitalise on the rising demand for security information and event management (SIEM) technology in the region, as more organisations turn to these solutions to help counter the growing threat of cyber crime, as well as protect themselves from data breach incidents. Analyst firm Frost & Sullivan predicts a substantial growth in demand for SIEM solutions in AsiaPac, with the market expected to reach $242.7 million in 2014, up from $93.4 million in 2010.

“IT security is a massive issue for organisations now and LogRhythm brings a proven and award-winning SIEM solution that fits perfectly with the Lan 1 security portfolio,” said Mathew Bertram, Marketing Manager at Lan 1. “LogRhythm’s log management and SIEM solutions provide organisations with the enhanced network visibility required to identify anomalies in real-time and respond to threats before they develop. As the company’s local partner we will be on hand with in-depth market knowledge and expertise and expect to see significant sales growth and an increased customer base in the coming weeks and months via our well established LogRhythm reseller partners.”

“Many enterprise organisations in Australia are presented with more than a billion logs every day – this is unmanageable without machine intelligence, particularly when the organisation needs to adhere to Payment Card Industry compliance. For organisations like this, the LogRhythm platform enables automated log correlation and management, and at the same time offers enhanced detection of persistent threats. Today, system security automation is essential for PCI compliance,” said Jeremy Lee, Security Practice Manager and CISSP at Lan 1.

“We are delighted to partner with a distributor as well established and experienced as Lan 1,” said Ross Brewer, managing director and vice president of international markets at LogRhythm. “When LogRhythm works with third parties we want to be confident that the company in question can maintain the same high standards that we set ourselves. The Lan 1 team was more than capable of convincing us this was the case and the impressive testimonies from its existing partners helped make it an easy choice. We’re now looking forward to both parties reaping the benefits of this partnership as the SIEM market continues to grow in the region.”
