LogRhythm wins “Best SIEM” category for the second time

SANS Institute Honors LogRhythm in “Best of 2016 Awards”

BOULDER, Colorado—April 3, 2017—LogRhythm, The Security Intelligence Company, today announced that it has been recognized as the “Best SIEM” winner in the SANS Institute’s “Best of 2016 Awards”. This is the second time that LogRhythm has been named a “Best SIEM” winner. These awards spotlight companies and products within the security industry that are making a difference and are an extension of the SANS What Works Program that raises awareness for security solutions and programs. Voters include security operations professionals and managers from the SANS community who are actual users of the products.

“The SANS community is out there on the front lines, actively deploying and operating security controls to avoid or minimize business damage from cyberattacks,” said John Pescatore, Director of Emerging Security Trends, SANS. “The products making the ‘SANS Best of’ list are proven solutions for increasing security effectiveness and efficiency.”

“It’s an honor to be named the ‘Best SIEM’ for the second time by SANS community members who are leveraging our solution to rapidly detect and respond to damaging cyber threats,” said Chris Petersen, chief technology officer, senior vice president of R&D and co-founder at LogRhythm. “We’re committed to helping our customers neutralize damaging cyber threats faster and with greater accuracy than ever before.”

LogRhythm’s NextGen SIEM Platform (/products/nextgen-siem-platform/) unifies next-generation SIEM capabilities to provide deep, real-time visibility into enterprise IT environments and ensure end-to-end threat management. LogRhythm Security Analytics helps organizations quickly detect compromised accounts, insider threats, and compromised systems through integrated User and Entity Behavioral Analytics (UEBA) combined with Network Behavioral Analytics (NBA). LogRhythm’s embedded security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) capabilities deliver efficient, automation-enabled workflows across threat investigation and incident response.

LogRhythm helps security operations teams and SOCs across the world realize optimal operating effectiveness as measured by their mean-time-to-detect (MTTD) and mean-time-to-respond (MTTR), helping to ensure initial compromises don’t lead to damaging data breaches.

Winners for all categories of the “Best of 2016 Awards” will be recognized at the SANS 2017 training event in Orlando, FL April 7–14, 2017.
