The Results of the Forrester Wave: Security Analytics Platforms, Q3 2018 Report

Forrester recently released the latest edition of the Forrester Wave™ Security Analytics Platforms report. We’re thrilled to share that not only has LogRhythm been named a Leader of Security Analytics Platforms, Forrester Research also recognized both the strength of our current capability set and our go-forward strategy, earning us the highest score possible in 20 out of the 30 evaluation categories!

Forrester’s recognition is a great validation of how our solution meets real customer needs in detecting and mitigating threats before becoming damaging breaches. The analyst firm takes a broad approach to the definition of “Security Analytics,” with capabilities including security information management (SIM), security user behavior analytics (SUBA), and network analysis and visibility (NAV), which aligns well to LogRhythm’s vision.

When our co-founders Chris Petersen and Phil Villella founded LogRhythm 15 years ago, it was with the vision to collect and generate data for pervasive visibility and to unlock the potential of analytics-driven approaches against clean, consistent data sets to meet the use cases for advanced threat detection. This vision has since inspired our methodology for developing and expanding the LogRhythm NextGen SIEM Platform.

Forrester makes it clear that organizations must tackle security holistically across multiple attack surfaces to remove false positives and prioritize true positives. We are appreciative Forrester recognizes both our vision and how we have executed toward this vision, and we are committed to continuing our work in providing our users with a complete solution that meets their ever-evolving needs. And what’s the best way to do this?

For us, it’s engaging with our customers. I’ve had the opportunity to connect with users this year through our online Community, at LogRhythm User Group events, and more, and their input is critical. By better understanding their challenges in meeting their security program’s objectives, we are well positioned to deliver an even stronger solution for them.

And with LogRhythm’s second annual RhythmWorld User Conference just around the corner, I’m excited to meet with our customers once again to hear more from them — and be able to share more from what they can expect to see from LogRhythm in the near future.

Certainly, the security analytics industry will continue to grow and change. As the Forrester Research report states: “the technology has evolved from its days as a log management and rules-based detection platform.” We at LogRhythm are excited to lead the charge toward meeting enterprises’ security challenges with strong capabilities and innovative analytics, aligned to cohesive workflows for security operational efficiency, meeting to real customer needs.
