Dan Kaiser

Threat Research Engineer

My Role

As a LogRhythm Threat Research Engineer, I develop content for the security-focused modules in the LogRhythm Knowledge base, such as User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA), Network Detection and Response (NDR), and CIS Controls.

My Story

I previously worked as a network engineering manager for an oil and gas company and as an IT director at a law firm. I also worked as an engineer at a Citrix Metaframe-based application service provider.

In 2015, I made the transition to the LogRhythm team and began my career here as a support engineer. I joined LogRhythm because I was interested in transitioning from IT to security and had heard great things about the company culture.

When I’m not at work, I try to stay active. I’ve completed six marathons, often enjoy riding my old, heavy tandem bike with my wife, and am an avid snowboarder.

My Philosophy

‘When you come to a fork in the road, take it.” – Yogi Berra

My Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Russian Language from University of Wisconsin – Madison
