Steve Warburton is part of the LogRhythm Security Operations Center (SOC) team. As a Sr. Security Analyst, he primarily works with IT, Engineering, Incident Response and MSPs to monitor the security of LogRhythm’s global workforce. He is responsible for performing malware analysis, supporting research and development efforts, automation and process improvement. Steve also develops stronger integrations with LogRhythm’s security infrastructure to automate processes, develop and enforce corporate information security policies, standards and guidelines.
Prior to joining LogRhythm, Steve was a Security Engineer for Level 3 Communications, LLC. During his time there, he was the lead architect and engineer for the design and development of their SIEM. Having previously worked in their SOC and then as their Antivirus (AV)/Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) Engineer, Steve matured the environment through efficient log management, automation, and overall security posture analysis.
Before Level 3, Steve spent five years with the Federal Government and another eight with the military, working as an analyst overseeing the security and health of financial and accounting systems. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland, as well as Security+ and Splunk Administrator certifications. Steve is also semi-fluent in German and Spanish.
