July 23, 2009 − LogRhythm, the company that makes log data useful, today named David Cheng as General Manager for Asia Pacific (APAC). Mr. Cheng is responsible for business operations, sales, marketing, and channel partnerships for the region.
Cheng brings over 18 years of security and infrastructure software industry experience to LogRhythm. He joins the company from ArcSight (NASD: ARST) where he was instrumental in building a multi-million dollar APAC business from scratch. Prior to ArcSight, Cheng held senior management positions at SafeNet, Resilience, and Tumbleweed Communications.

David Cheng holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Waterloo (Canada) in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics, and an MBA from the Open University of Hong Kong. Cheng is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
