DCIG Ranks LogRhythm SIEM No.1 and “Best-in-Class” in SIEM Appliance Buyer’s Guide

Company’s Solutions Outperform Hewlett-Packard, IBM, McAfee and Others

BOULDER, Colo.—May 15, 2014— LogRhythm, The Security Intelligence Company, today announced that its All-in-One (XM) 6300 enterprise-class SIEM appliance achieved the Best-in-Class ranking (the highest overall score) in DCIG’s 2014-15 SIEM Appliance Buyer’s Guide. The independent research firm also selected LogRhythm’s All-in-One (XM) 4300 SIEM appliance as its only Recommended product.

According to the guide, the XM 6300 “represents the best of what SIEM appliances currently have to offer.” DCIG President Jerome Wendt and DCIG Author and FRSecure President Evan Francen also note in the guide that “the All-in-One (XM) 6300 stood head and shoulders above the competition in its ability to detect breaches and then respond and recover from them… the LogRhythm All-in-One (XM) 6300 is about as close to a ‘can’t miss’ option as there is in the SIEM appliance market.”

Wendt and Francen also report that the XM 4300, which received the Recommended ranking, is “an excellent fit for most small to mid-sized organizations.” Compared to the XM 6300, the XM 4300 “possesses most of the 6300’s feature functionality and shares the Best-in-Class ranking in the software category.”

DCIG evaluated 29 SIEM appliances from nine companies. LogRhythm’s XM 6300 and XM 4300 ranked No. 1 and No. 2 respectively, outperforming competitive solutions from Hewlett-Packard (ArcSight), IBM (Security QRadar), McAfee and others.

“LogRhythm has been providing industry-leading SIEM appliances for more than ten years, and we’re constantly working to help our customers thrive amidst an increasingly advanced cyber threat landscape,” said Chris Petersen, chief technology officer and co-founder of LogRhythm. “DCIG’s placement of LogRhythm at the lead of the SIEM appliance market is further evidence that our singular focus on delivering best-in-class security intelligence is enabling us to achieve that goal at a pace well ahead of our competitors.”

The XM 6300 and XM 4300 SIEM appliances enable LogRhythm customers to deploy the company’s award-winning Security Intelligence Platform on a single all-in-one appliance form factor.
