Andy Grolnick, President & CEO

Andy Grolnick brings to LogRhythm a successful 20+ year track record growing high tech businesses, primarily in the software and storage segments.  His executive leadership experience spans General Management, Marketing, Sales and Product Development.  As General Manager at Iomega, Andy was responsible for the launch and management of the Zip business, playing a key role in its growth to over $1 Billion in less than 2 years.  Prior to LogRhythm, he served as VP of Marketing & Sales and a member of the founding management team at OpenLogic, a leader in the enterprise open source software management space.  Mr. Grolnick has also held executive positions at Quantum, Rivio and OnStream and began his career as a Software Product Manager at Hewlett Packard.  He has a degree in Computer Science from Duke University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina.

 

Chris Petersen, CTO & Founder

Chris Petersen's unique combination of industry experience and technology vision has resulted in the industry's most comprehensive and relevant enterprise log management and analysis solution.  His diverse set of experiences has lead to a rich understanding of customer problems and needs. As a Senior Consultant with Price Waterhouse (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers), he provided information assurance services to Fortune 500 clients and developed the Price Waterhouse Enterprise Security Architecture System.  At Ernst & Young, Chris led an engineering group in developing one of the first managed security services and eSecurityOnline.com, a leading information assurance portal.  Chris was also among the first twenty employees at Counterpane Internet Security, where he made significant contributions to the technical and business aspects of Counterpane's pioneering managed security monitoring service.  Prior to founding LogRhythm, Chris was responsible for product marketing at Enterasys Networks, helping to drive the Dragon Intrusion Detection System to a market leading position.  Chris has spoken at numerous conferences, been quoted in numerous publications and was a faculty member with the Institute for Applied Network Security.  Chris has a degree in accounting/information systems from Colorado State University.

 

Phillip Villella, Ph.D. Chief Scientist & Founder

Phillip Villella brings to LogRhythm a rich background in advanced data analysis, software development and advanced physics.  Prior to receiving his Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics from the University of Colorado in 2002, Phillip held research positions at the University of New Mexico Surface Physics Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory and the University of Colorado.  A significant portion of his thesis research involved designing and implementing software for high performance numerical simulations and advanced data analysis.  As Chief Scientist at LogRhythm, Phillip is applying his analytical and simulation expertise toward the next generation of log and event management solutions.  These developments are yielding solutions that empower organizations with unprecedented insight and information to make more impactful and timely decisions regarding potential security, operational and audit risks (e.g., insider threats, system vulnerabilities, process violations, etc.).

 

Michael McCormick, Vice President of Sales

Michael McCormick brings veteran sales leadership to LogRhythm with over 20 years of high tech sales management success, including more than 12 years in Information Security.  Prior to LogRhythm, Mike was Director of Sales at Vormetric Inc., where he was responsible for the company’s largest sales volume during his three year tenure with the company.  His leadership from the time of product launch helped establish Vormetric as a leading encryption vendor in the market.  Prior to Vormetric, Mike successfully built and managed the Western U.S. Sales organization at Entercept.  His Sales organization exceeded target revenues and contributed to the successful acquisition of Entercept by McAfee.  Prior to Entercept, Mike’s field sales leadership helped AXENT Technologies grow from an emerging company into a market leader which ultimately was acquired by Symantec.  Earlier in his career, he established a systems integration business in Colorado, which he successfully managed and expanded for over 10 years.  Michael holds a B.S. degree from the University of Tennessee.

 

Mike Reagan, Vice President of Marketing & Business Development

Mike Reagan brings a track record of success in marketing, business development and sales management in the security, storage and software industries that spans over 22 years.  Before joining LogRhythm, Mike was a member of the founding executive team at Vericept Corp. where he held a variety of positions including VP of Sales and Marketing.  During his 7 years at Vericept he played a key role in developing the company into a leader in the Data Leak Prevention market.  During that time, the company experienced compound annual growth of over 90%.  Mike’s prior experience also includes running Channel Marketing, Market Development and Strategic Alliances for OnStream, Inc. where he helped drive revenues from $0 to over $40 million in under 18 months.  Prior to OnStream, Mike was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Decisioneering, Inc. (now a division of Oracle Corp) where he grew revenues by over 90% and led the expansion of the company’s customer’s base to include over 80% of Fortune 500 companies.  Mike’s additional experience includes over 7 years with EMC Corp. where he held numerous Sales and Marketing management positions.  Mike holds a B.A. degree from Providence College.

 

Mark Vellequette, Chief Financial Officer

Mark Vellequette’s experience in leading financial and corporate operations for private and public companies spans over 20 years.  Mark’s breadth of expertise includes all areas of corporate finance including private placement financing, initial public offerings, mergers/acquisitions/divestitures, as well as strategic planning, operations management and international expansion.  Prior to joining LogRhythm, Mark was CFO at Circle Graphics.  Prior to that Mark held the position of CFO at Oxlo Systems, Rogue Wave Software and Syngistix Inc.  Mark also served as COO/CFO at bCandid Corp.  During his tenure at bCandid revenues increased by over 400% and Mark orchestrated the sale of the company to Software.com which yielded a 10x return for investors in less than 18 months.  Mark’s background also includes 7 years in operations-focused finance roles at Intel Corp.  Mark’s broad range of experience coupled with his strong track record of high growth, profitability and operational efficiency positions him well to make significant contributions to LogRhythm in this critical role.  Mark holds a BS in Finance and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

 

Ross Brewer, Vice President and Managing Director of EMEA

Ross Brewer brings to LogRhythm over 22 years of sales and management experience in high technology and information security. Prior to LogRhythm, Ross was a senior executive at LogLogic where he served as vice president and managing director of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).  Prior to LogLogic, Ross held senior management and sales positions in Europe for systems and security management vendor NetIQ and security vendor PentaSafe (acquired by NetIQ).  At global security leader Symantec, Ross launched the company’s operations in New Zealand.  In his new role at LogRhythm, Ross manages EMEA business operations including sales, channel development, and administration.
