Students Warned of Data Breach After Cyberattack Hits UC System

Staff and students at University of California campuses statewide are being advised to take immediate steps to protect their personal information, including credit and identity theft monitoring.

The data breach involves the technology company Accellion, contracted by UC and others to transfer information. Those victimized in the breach have been warned to change their passwords and other credentials.
