Sally Vincent

Senior Threat Research Engineer

My Role

I am a Senior Threat Research Engineer at LogRhythm. I create threat detection content for LogRhythm like MITRE ATT&CK module AIE rules. I keep up with the latest threats and technologies to help educate our customers and secure their networks. I am especially interested in reverse engineering and threat hunting.

My Story

I started in the professional world as an electrical engineer. I enjoyed EE work, but I quickly became increasingly interested in IT security. Luckily, my IT administrator experience, college computer science courses, and natural paranoid tendencies made my move to the security world a smooth one.

I have been working at LogRhythm for nine years in several departments. A highlight during my time at LogRhythm was working as an Analytic Co-Pilot where I taught customers how to get the most out of our product and create custom content. I live in the Rocky Mountains where I enjoy being close to ski resorts and frequently seeing moose and bears in my yard.

My Philosophy

“Everyone, deep in their hearts, is waiting for the end of the world to come.” – Haruki Murakami

B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

Certifications: CISSP, CEH, GMON, GREM
